In field trials on sandy soil at Harunabad in 1978-80, cotton AC-134 was given 0,50 or 100 lb N + 0, 50 or 100 lb P/acre in all combinations, all the P being applied at sowing and 33% N at sowing and 67% at 1st irrigation. The crop was sown in rows 30 in apart with 15 in between plants and irrigation was applied as required.
