Retrofitting swine buildings for wood-heated air tempering



Paper, American Society of Agricultural Engineers (83-4075): 13 pp



Methods to assist 3 pig producers to heat buildings effectively and inexpensively with wood are discussed. Two cases used a simple wood stove in combination with existing ventilation systems for heat distribution. The third incorporated concrete heat exchangers for hot water zone heating.
