Serological tests for avian mycoplasmosis: rapid plate agglutination, haemagglutination inhibition and metabolic inhibition applied to Mycoplasma gallisepticum infection

With serum samples from fowls and turkeys, all three tests provided comparable antibody titres. The plate agglutination test was the first to become positive. Results of the metabolic inhibition test were reproducible and gave clear distinction between positive and negative.
