Sources of resistance to Rhynchosporium secalis, Erysiphe graminis hordei and Puccinia hordei in barley

Of 40 lines and 11 cultivars tested in the field in conditions of natural infection in 1980-1983, five lines (Atrada X Atlas, Bey, Forrajera RM85, Quinn and Abyssinian CI1225) were immune to R. secalis. Astrix was the most resistant cultivar. Of 15 lines and 11 cultivars similarly tested against P. hordei, four lines (Forrajera Klein, Dabat, La Estanzuela 75A and La Estanzuela 75A X Rika 21) were highly resistant. Of the cultivars, only Astrix showed noticeable resistance.
