Susceptibility of cultivars of soft wheat and barley to early post-emergence applications of herbicides against broad-leaved weeds

Susceptibility of cultivars of soft wheat and barley to early post-emergence applications of herbicides against broad-leaved weeds

Atti del convegno su "La difesa dei cereali nell' ambito dei progetti finalizzati del CNR": 225-234

Trials over 2 yr in the Po valley, on 10 of soft wheat, 2 of hard wheat and 2 of barley, tested for phytotoxicity against the herbicide mixtures ioxynil + CMPP ester, ioxynil + CMPP salt, 3,6-dichloropicolinic acid + CMPP, 3,6-dichloropicolinic acid + MCPA + CMPP, bromofenoxim + CMPP, MCPA + dicamba and bentazone + CMPP. The herbicides were applied during tillering or up to the 1st node growth stages. In the 1st yr, no phytotoxicity or yield reduction occurred.
