Data were obtained on 150 Czechoslovakian Improved White sows, their 1st litters, and 1456 piglets. For gilts first mated at 7, 8, 9 or 10 months of age, litter size averaged 9.4, 9.6, 9.5 and 9.9 resp., the number of liveborn piglets 9.1, 9.3, 9.4 and 9.5, litter size at 21 days 7.9, 7.4, 8.2 and 8.1, piglet birth weight 1.35, 1.37, 1.37 and 1.34 kg, and body weight at 21 days 4.04, 4.09, 4.35 and 4.74 kg.
