The susceptibility of varieties and hybrids of plum to natural infection by plum pox virus

The susceptibility of varieties and hybrids of plum to natural infection by plum pox virus

Principles of plant resistance to diseases and pests: 13-24

Data are tabulated on the occurrence of PPV on plum in Romania. Observations over 13 yr on more than 50 varieties and hybrids showed that 14 were infected up to 30%, 14 up to 26% and 24 up to 44%. Those recommended as having the lowest infection included the local Tamios de Bistrita. According to leaf susceptibility the varieties were rated as 75% highly susceptible, 17.3% moderately and 9.7% slightly susceptible.
