The vaccinal process in sheep after inoculation of live brucella vaccine

The vaccinal process in sheep after inoculation of live brucella vaccine

Veterinariya, Kiev, Ukrainian SSR 58: 3-6

70 ram lambs (6-10 weeks old) were vaccinated against infectious epididymitis with 5 or 25 x 109 organisms of strain 7-26. All those tested resisted challenge infection with B. ovis strain 65939 after 2-3 months. The vaccine strain was recovered from body tissues up to 4 weeks, and serum antibodies persisted for up to 2 months after vaccination.
