A method to determine threshold levels of single weed species in a cereal crop (Avena sp. X spring sown wheat)

A method to determine threshold levels of single weed species in a cereal crop (Avena sp. X spring sown wheat)

Proceedings, EWRS symposium on economic weed control: 83-90

In a study in spring wheat, the threshold levels for competition from oats (sown at 10-160 seeds/msuperscript 2 at the same time as the crop to simulate weed effects) was 16-29 plants/msuperscript 2. Yield losses were reduced by spraying with diclofop-methyl at the mid-tiller stage and with 2,4-D.
