A quadratic interregional programming model for analyzing the EC milk marketing policy

Agrarwirtschaft 33(11): 332-340

This is a slightly altered version of a paper presented to the September 1984 EAAE congress in Kiel. The model, which covers production, processing and sales in the GFR, France and Netherlands and interregional trade, is used to examine alternative policies for milk. Regional supplies of raw milk and final demand for fresh dairy products, butter and cheese are linearly related to their prices. The model provides a satisfactory explanation of the initial (1980) situation.
