, : An enterokinase in the gut of pharate adult of Glossina morsitans morsitans Westwood (Diptera: Glossinidae). Acta Tropica 42(1): 79-85

An enterokinase (enteropeptidase) has been detected in pharate adults of Glossina morsitans morsitans 21 days after pupation. It was found to activate commercial crystalline bovine trypsinogen to trypsin. It showed affinity for concanavalin A bound to sepharose and was reversibly sensitive to boiling at pH 6.0.
