An enzyme linked immuno assay (ELISA) for the detection of canine von Willebrand disease

, : An enzyme linked immuno assay (ELISA) for the detection of canine von Willebrand disease. IVth International Symposium of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians, 2-6 June 1986 Abstracts: 96-99

A purified preparation of canine factor VIII antigen was used for preparing specific immune serum for ELISA. This test was applied at the Utrecht Small Animal Clinic to 28 healthy dogs, 19 with coagulation disorders and 19 with haemorrhagic diathesis of unknown aetiology. Factor VIII was subnormal in 11 dogs, 8 of which were Doberman Pinscher.

Maier, V.P.; Brewster, L.C.; Hsu, A.C., 1973: Debittering citrus juices. Exposing citrus fruits to ethylene at 20 p.p.m. for 3 h, followed by holding for 5 days, lowered the limonin content of the juice by 30-35%, compared with untreated fruits. The limonin content of 3-h-treated fruits differed little from that of fru...

Dysregulations of the hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis have been discussed as a physiological substrate of chronic pain and fatigue. The aim of the study was to investigate possible dysregulations of the HPA axis in chronic whiplash-assoc...

Bourne, F. J., 1969: Studies on colostral and milk whey proteins in the sow. 1. The transition of mammary secretion from colostrum to milk with natural suckling. There was a large fall in the colostral whey proteins of 9 sows within 24 h of the birth of the first piglet. Mean value fell from 19.6 g to 4.1 g per 100 ml; 50% of this fall was within 4 to 6 h. It is suggested that as early-born piglets will be...

Inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite solar cells (PSCs) owning comparable photovoltaic performance and enhanced thermal stability compared to organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites have attracted enormous interest in the past year. However, it is still a cha...

Successful implantation necessitates modulation of the uterine environment by the embryo for a specific period of time during the menstrual cycle. Infusion of chorionic gonadotropin (CG) into the oviducts of baboons to mimic embryo transit induces...

To examine the role of p66shc in endothelial dysfunction, we investigated the endothelium-dependent relaxation, protein expression and superoxide production in abdominal aortic coarctation rats. Endothelium-dependent relaxation to acetylcholine wa...

Depotentiation comprises a reversal of tetanization-induced long-term potentiation (LTP) which occurs following low-frequency stimulation (LFS) in the hippocampus in vivo. Although depotentiation has been consistently demonstrated in the CA1 regio...

Recent reports indicate that the primary event in the growth arrest induced by ethanol in highly resistant yeast strains may be a decreased protein synthesis.
