Biogas purification

, : Biogas purification. Bioenergy 84 Proceedings of conference 15-21 June 1984, Goteborg, Sweden Vol III Biomass conversion: 458-463

Biogas containing undesirable or noxious compounds such as particles, hydrogen sulphide, carbon dioxide and water vapour must sometimes be purified to obtain the desired quality. The selective removal of hydrogen sulphide in filterbeds of Danish bog iron ore and steel milling chips was studied. By adding air to the biogas in small amounts it was possible to obtain a simultaneous regeneration of the active iron oxide-hydrate compounds.
