Butachlor for effective time of application for control of weeds in rice nursery



Abstracts of papers, annual conference of Indian Society of Weed Science, 1985: 1



Rice nursery plots were given 0.75-1.75 kg butachlor/ha 4 days before sowing (4 DBS) or 0.75-1.25 kg butachlor/ha 6 days after sowing (DAS). Butachlor applied 4 DBS provided the most effective weed control but was injurious to seedlings at higher rates. Butachlor applied 6 DAS was safe to the seedlings but provided inadequate weed control.
