CAM and the orchids

CAM and the orchids

Lindleyana 1(1): 65-68

The diurnal variation in acidity, undersurface diffusive resistance and undersurface temperature of Dendrobium speciosum and Plectorrhiza tridentata leaves, photosynthetically active solar radiation, air temperature and humidity were measured. The results are presented graphically. Leaf diffusive resistance decreased sharply in the evening (stomata opening), remained low until after dawn, and then sharply increased again (stomata closing).
