CCC on different winter rye, winter wheat and spring wheat varieties

The relative straw strength and lodging resistance of different of winter rye, winter wheat, winter barley, spring wheat, spring barley and oats is discussed with reference to trials conducted in Sweden in 1975-84, and the effects of CCC (chlormequat chloride) on straw strength and grain yield of winter rye, winter wheat and spring wheat are reviewed. Winter rye and oats had the weakest straw strength.
