CO2 enrichment of Carrizo citrange and Swingle citrumelo rootstocks

Four-month old seedlings of both rootstocks were grown under CO2-enriched (660 p.p.m.) and non-enriched (ambient 330 p.p.m.) conditions in outdoor growth chambers from February to March (14 weeks). Shoot elongation in the CO2-enriched environment was 1.3 and 2.0 times greater in citrange and citrumelo, respectively, than for controls and plant height at the end of CO2 enrichment was 17 and 60% greater than that of controls.
