CO2 uptake in European larch (Larix decidua Mill.) near treeline in Switzerland (Stillberg/Davos)

CO2 uptake in European larch (Larix decidua Mill.) near treeline in Switzerland (Stillberg/Davos)

Berichte, Eidgenossische Anstalt fur das Forstliche Versuchswesen, Switzerland (270): 113-122

Gas exchange, air and soil temp., photon flux density and leaf/air water vapour pressure differences were measured on N.- and E.-facing slopes of an avalanche gully at 2185 m in summer 1983. Compared with results on the E.-facing slope, CO2 assimilation was two-thirds and CO2 uptake was about half on the N.-facing slope.
