CO2-trials in practice

Groenten en Fruit 40(36): 38-40

In glasshouse trials on several commercial holdings with tomatoes, cucumbers and capsicums the effects were compared of providing extra supplementary CO2 for different 4-week periods between 27 February and 4 November. For treatment periods between 23 April and 9 October yield differences, compared with controls (standard supplementary CO2), varied between -4 and +15% (average +3.5%). For supplementation periods after 9 October the corresponding yield increases amounted to between 3 and 12%.
