Contributions made by CSIRO to pasture and crop research in Queensland over the last 25 years are reviewed. 18 legume and 15 grass have been released by the plant introduction groups at the Cunningham and Davies laboratories. Studies in plant nutrition have included research on mineral nutrition, N nutrition and nodulation and N fixation by legumes.
