Ca2+ inhibition of brush border alkaline phosphatase activity in Hymenolepis diminuta

Ca2+ inhibition of brush border alkaline phosphatase activity in Hymenolepis diminuta

Zeitschrift für Parasitenkunde 71(6): 759-763

The Km of brush border membrane alkaline phosphatase from fractionated and crude tegument of H. diminuta increased with Ca2+ concentration (0 to 25 micro M) from 61 to 145 micro M with a concomitant decrease in Vmax from 3.38 to 2.0 micro mol/min/ml.
