For 10 weeks White leghorn laying hens in 4 groups with 6 replications were given mixed feeds equal in energy and protein to appetite with crushed oyster shell of medium or large particle size, dolomitic limestone or calcareous limestone as calcium source. Laying percentage was 85.92, 76.43, 54.50 and 85.24%, feed intake 2.15, 2.20, 2.90 and 2.16 kg/kg eggs, egg weight 63.23, 65.96, 57.42 and 63.76 g and egg-shell weight 5.89, 6.16, 5.31 and 5.74 g, respectively.
