Calcium, phosphorus and alkaline phosphatase in the serum of laying hens during the productive cycle

Calcium, phosphorus and alkaline phosphatase in the serum of laying hens during the productive cycle

Avicoltura 54(11): 33-36

Calcium, phosphorus and alkaline phosphatase were estimated in blood serum of 30 Warren hens during 1 laying year. Ca and P increased from 9.53 and 5.53 mg/100 ml at the onset of laying, decreased sharply during moult then increased to pre-moult values during the 2nd cycle.
