Calculating the probability of obtaining fruit crop hybrids with required characteristics in various cross combinations

Calculating the probability of obtaining fruit crop hybrids with required characteristics in various cross combinations

Vestnik Sel' skokhozyaistvennoi Nauki, Moscow, USSR (7): 112-117

It is stated that the probability of obtaining the required hybrids is determined by the characteristics of the parental forms. A formula is presented by which the limits of these characteristics can be derived and used in a given model to determine the probability that hybrids will have the required characteristics.
