Callogenesis and adventitious rooting in woody cuttings of Vitis vinifera L. (cv. Schiava grossa)

The anatomical modifications in cuttings during rooting are described and discussed. Callus produced by the cambium is mainly used for wound healing whereas callus from the phellogen facilitates the outward growth of newly-formed roots.
