Callus formation from Malus x domestica cv. 'Jonathan' protoplasts

Callus formation from Malus x domestica cv. 'Jonathan' protoplasts

Plant Cell Reports 3(4): 142-145

Protoplasts of this M. domestica variety were successfully isolated and cultured from callus and suspension cultures of leaves, but not from stems or petioles. Formation of embryoid-like structures was induced from the protoplast-derived callus on medium supplemented with IAA and BA.
