Calorie:lysine ratios. A perspective

Calorie:lysine ratios. A perspective

Proceedings of the 1986 Georgia Nutrition Conference for the Feed Industry: 61-66

Energy:protein data when expressed in terms of daily metabolizable energy (ME) and lysine intakes by pigs suggest that both may influence intake, and hence overall performance. It appears that lysine intake may be the first limiting factor up to the point of maximum ME intake or the physical limitation of the pig due to fill or bulk.
