Campylobacter spp. associated with diarrhoea in puppies

Campylobacter spp. associated with diarrhoea in puppies

Refuah Veterinarith 41(3): 85-88

Campylobacter were isolated on a selective medium (containing an antibiotic mixture) from 4 of 56 puppies with haemorrhagic diarrhoea. Isolates were identified as the genus Campylobacter on the basis of morphology and biochemical characteristics (positive oxidase and catalase reactions, production of hydrogen sulphide, sodium chloride tolerance and sensitivity to nalidixic acid).
