Common root rot of spring barley: relative susceptibility of six-rowed cultivars

Common root rot of spring barley: relative susceptibility of six-rowed cultivars

North Dakota Farm Research 44(1): 5-7

Resistance to Helminthosporium sativum was assessed under natural infection in >30 cultivars in trials involving 5 North Dakota sites during 1980-83. For cultivars in the middle of the resistance range, such as Dickson and Glenn, ranking according to disease rating varied among sites and years, suggesting that selection for small increases in resistance might be difficult.
