Content and distribution of magnesium in red ferrallitic and ferrallitic quartzitic soils

Content and distribution of magnesium in red ferrallitic and ferrallitic quartzitic soils

Ciencias de la Agricultura (20): 109-116

Magnesium was found to be in a critical level for plants in Ferrallitic Quartzitic soils, and higher in Red Ferrallitic soils. The Ca/Mg and K/Mg ratios are unfavorable in Red Quartzitic Yellowish soils; in Red Ferrallitic soils the Ca/Mg ratio was higher and the K/Mg ratio was within adequate limits.
