Differences in potassium uptake in grapevine varieties: reasons and perspectives

Differences in potassium uptake in grapevine varieties: reasons and perspectives

Vitis 24(3): 174-182

Pot studies using nutrient solutions differing in K content were carried out on rooted, single-node cuttings of 2 cultivars known to be efficient (Leanyka) and inefficient (Ezerjo) in K utilization respectively. Under near-equilibrium conditions, K (86Rb) influx rates showed that Leanyka had efficient uptake and translocation whereas in Ezerjo both uptake and translocation were inefficient.
