Of the 6 varieties studied, Lepaan Musta, Brodtorp and Mulgi Must had >50% berries >12 mm in diameter, while Bogatyr', Laxton's Tinker and Golubka had a predominance of smaller berries. The larger berries had a lower content of ascorbic acid than the smaller ones. Berries of Laxton's Tinker and Bogatyr' had the highest ascorbic acid and sugar content.
