Differences in the living conditions and way of life between the populations of different types of settlement

The position of a settlement within the settlement hierarchy determines the living conditions and way of life for its population. This paper compares the social stratification, incomes, working and living conditions, durable stock, financial situations and the migration and mobility characteristics, of the inhabitants of six types of Hungarian settlements.
