Differences in the resistance of two Solanum acaule Bitt. lines to potato virus X and tobacco mosaic virus

Differences in the resistance of two Solanum acaule Bitt. lines to potato virus X and tobacco mosaic virus

Mikrobiologicheskii Zhurnal 46(6): 52-58

On mechanical inoculation with PVX, 84-91% of the plants of line 7k154 developed no symptoms and the virus was not found in the tissues. The plants were also resistant to inoculation with the virus RNA. Line 4 was completely susceptible. Both lines were susceptible to TMV, but symptoms were more marked in 7k154. Disease development depended on the virus concn.
