Different planting densities in nectarines trained as semi-palmettes

Different planting densities in nectarines trained as semi-palmettes

Boletin Tecnico, Estacion Experimental de Mercedes 4(4): 11

Nectared II trees were planted in 1977 at distances of 2.5, 3.5 or 4.5 m in rows 5.5 m apart (720, 504 and 396 trees/ha, respectively). Spacing had no effect on yields/tree or fruit size, but yields/ha increased as spacing decreased. Annual yields from 1978 to 1983 are tabulated.
