Differential assimilation of ammonium, nitrate and mixed source nitrogen in barley

This paper was presented at the 9th annual congress of the South African Association of Botanists held on 18-21 Jan. 1983 in Johannesburg. The rate and compartmentalization of N assimilation in young barley plants, grown hydroponically in controlled environments on nutrient sol. containing either nitrate alone, ammonium alone or some combination of both were investigated using 15N techniques.
