Differential detection of seedborne lettuce mosaic virus (LMV) in LMV-susceptible and resistant lettuce breeding lines

Differential detection of seedborne lettuce mosaic virus (LMV) in LMV-susceptible and resistant lettuce breeding lines

Proceedings of the Florida State Horticultural Society 1985; 97: 179-181

Seeds from plants of 30 advanced lettuce breeding lines that were exposed during growth to natural LMV infection were tested for seedborne LMV using ELISA. All 9 samples of the susceptible lines but only 3 of the 22 samples of resistant lines had detectable seedborne LMV.
