Differential diagnostic investigation on pathogenic strains of the crown gall disease, Agrobacterium tumefaciens, in connexion with trials for biological control

Zeitschrift fur Pflanzenkrankheiten und Pflanzenschutz 93(2): 153-162

Twenty-one pathogenic strs. of A. tumefaciens, isolated from different hosts in the tree nursery area of Schleswig-Holstein, GFR, were characterized by physiological features and sensitivity to antibiotics. Strs. of both biovars 1 and 2 were found, biovar 1 predominating, and several strs. could not be assigned to any biovar due to aberrant characters.
