Differential expression of kunitz and bowman-birk soybean proteinase inhibitors in plant and callus tissue

Differential expression of kunitz and bowman-birk soybean proteinase inhibitors in plant and callus tissue

Plant Physiology 78(2): 310-314

Bowman-Birk soyabean trypsin inhibitor, but not Kunitz soyabean trypsin inhibitor, was demonstrated using immunological techniques in soyabean Amsoy 71 tissue culture callus. Both types of inhibitor were found in the hypocotyl, root, epicotyl and cotyledons of Amsoy 71 seedlings, with the Bowman-Birk type predominating in all tissues except the cotyledons.
