The main pathogens of the root rot complex include Cercosporella herpotrichoides, Rhizoctonia solani, Ophiobolus graminis, Helminthosporium sativum Fusarium culmorum, F. nivale, F. avenaceum and F. graminearum In trials of many wheat varieties and lines only a few were tolerant or slightly susceptible; these included SMH-155, Saga, Luna, Alcedo, St 47, Rota, Mironovskaya 808, Maris Huntsman, Salwa and Grana.
