Differential reactions of Phakopsora pachyrhizi on soybean in Taiwan

Differential reactions of Phakopsora pachyrhizi on soybean in Taiwan

Soybean in tropical and subtropical cropping systems Proceedings of a symposium at Tsukuba, Japan, 26 September 1 October 1983: 247-250

Three races of P. pachyrhizi were identified on the basis of the differential reactions of 5 soyabean cultivars. Race 1 produced TAN-type lesions, which sporulated profusely, on all the cultivars tested; race 2 produced RB-type (reddish-brown) lesions on PI 230971 and TAN-type lesions on Ankur, TN4, TK5 and PI 200492; while race 3 produced TAN-type lesions on PI 200492 and RB-type lesions on the remaining cultivars.
