Differential response of 23 clones and hybrids of Prunus to four Meloidogyne species

Differential response of 23 clones and hybrids of Prunus to four Meloidogyne species

Revue de Nematologie 7(3): 265-270

Clones and hybrids of Prunus were tested against 59 populations of 4 species of Meloidogyne of diverse geographic origins. Only a Tunisian almond, Sbikha 014, was susceptible to M. hapla. The Israeli almond clones Alnem 1 and 201 were fully resistant to M. arenaria and M. javanica, Alnem 8 was fully resistant to M. arenaria and slightly susceptible to M. javanica, but all 3 were sensitive to M. incognita. All the remaining almonds were susceptible, to varying degrees, to the 3 nematodes.
