Differential response of nightshades to herbicides

Differential response of nightshades to herbicides

Proceedings of the Western Society of Weed Science: 68-69

Of the herbicides evaluated for the control of Solanum nigrum, S. sarrachoides, S. americanum and s. ptycanthum each from 2 geographical origins, best control was given by cycloate, ethalfluralin, alachlor and metolachlor incroporated pre-sowing and by alachlor, chloramben, metolachlor, PPG-844 (1-(carboethoxy)ethyl 5-(2-chloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)phenoxy)-2-nitrobenzoate) or metribuzin + pendimethalin pre-em.
