Differentiation in incomes of individual farms

Wies Wspoczesna 29(4(338)): 37-46

On the basis of data from 1982, this article examines income differentiation, and its causes, on a sample of private farms in Poland. Low income (per person) is considered to be less than zl 50 000 per annum, high income zl 200 000 or more. The farms sampled included quite a high percentage of low income holdings and a relatively small percentage enjoying high incomes. The lowest incomes were zl 25 000-30 000, the highest over zl 500 000.
