Differentiation of carrot protoplasts and screening for salt tolerance, storage ability and differentiation ability

Differentiation of carrot protoplasts and screening for salt tolerance, storage ability and differentiation ability

Scientia Agricultura Sinica (6): 67-71

Plantlets were regenerated from embryoids developed from embryogenic cells released from tap root callus. Embryogenic cells remained viable for 2 years when stored at room temperature. Some cells were still able to differentiate and regenerate green plantlets after selection under 3% NaCl.
