Differentiation of potato genomes from the data of immunochemical analysis

As the result of an immunochemical analysis of the protein in tubers of 240 forms belonging to 29 species, a common antigen designated A3 was found in South American diploid species. Another antigen, A2, was found in most South American diploids but was absent from Solanum infundibuliforme. Antigens were found which were common to some groups of closely related species, as well as some species-specific antigens.
