Differentiation of wild potato species by the photoperiodic sensitivity of tuber formation

Differentiation of wild potato species by the photoperiodic sensitivity of tuber formation

Sel' skokhozyaistvennaya Biologiya (9): 71-73

The photoperiodic reaction of 24 wild potato spp., classified into 11 different series by Bukasov's system, was investigated. Data on the percentage of plants forming tubers, photoperiodic indices based on the number of tubers/plant and the weight of tubers/plant, shoot and stolon weight and the stem and stolon length under 12- and 18-h photoperiods are given.
