Diffusion of enteric microorganisms in wastewater irrigated soils

Diffusion of enteric microorganisms in wastewater irrigated soils

Rivista di Ingegneria Agraria 15(1): 10-19

The diffusion of coliform bacteria, enterococci and coliphages through soils irrigated with untreated wastewater was studied using lysimeters. Reduction of the microorganisms in the drainage water varied as a function of soil type and lysimeter height.
