Diflubenzuron and some new insecticides for the groundnut red hairy caterpillar, Amsacta albistriga Walker

The effectiveness of the insect growth regulator diflubenzuron and 7 other insecticides for the control of larvae of the groundnut pest Amsacta albistriga was determined in tests in India. In the laboratory, LC50s of diflubenzuron 48 and 60 h after larvae in different instars had fed on treated leaves showed that older larvae were less susceptible than young ones and that efficacy was higher at 60 h than at 48 h.
