Pigs were weaned at 28 days old and given from 43 to 60 days old the feed mixture SK-16 which contained 30% barley, 20% maize, 20 to 23% wheat, 3% soyabean meal, up to 2% grass meal and 1% sugar. The control group received SK-16 mixed with 4% fish meal, 6% skimmed milk and 3% feed yeast; the test group received it with 1% fish meal, 3.5% skimmed milk and 7% green protein concentrate (from extracted grass juice).
